Frequently asked questions
Is this legal advice?
No. This is self-help document preparation. We're not a law firm and don't provide legal advice. See our full methodology for exactly how the numbers are calculated.
Do you file the appeal for me?
No — you file it yourself, using the packet we generate. Allegheny County's first-level appeal (BPAAR) doesn't require a lawyer, and you can file online or by mail. Your packet includes a step-by-step filing checklist.
What if my property doesn't qualify?
The free address check tells you before you pay anything. If the evidence doesn't support a clear over-assessment case, we say so and don't charge you.
What if I'm not happy with my report?
Email us within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund you, no argument. We'd rather you trust us than keep $39 we didn't earn.
Do you guarantee I'll win my appeal?
No one legitimately can — the Board of Property Assessment Appeals and Review makes the final call. What we guarantee is that your packet is built from real comparable sales and the correct Common Level Ratio math, not a generic template.
Is my address/data sold to anyone?
No. See our Privacy Policy — property assessment data is already public record; we don't sell your contact information or purchase history to third parties.
How is payment handled?
Payment is processed securely by Dodo Payments; we never see or store your card details. It's a single flat fee — no subscription, no recurring charge.
